I recently illustrated the cover for Jon Pogioli's book 'The Light Bringer'. It's set inside a human body and the story revolves around immune cells and viruses. The book is available on Amazon and 20% of all book profits go to The British Heart Foundation.
Jon sent me a sketch for how he imagined the cover. Then I designed some character concepts and a thumbnail sketch for the cover. I then rendered a black and white value study for lighting. Afterwards, I painted in colour and detail.
The concepts were sketched on paper and on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. The finished the artwork was created in Photoshop CC with a Wacom Cintiq.
Working with Mair creating the front cover to my upcoming book The LightBringer was an absolute pleasure. She was so professional and understanding that the job got done quickly and to impeccable standards. I highly recommend her and will be using her again for my upcoming projects.
