Business Card Illustration

A business card illustration commissioned by Joel Buckland in 2010. The commission started with some thumbnail sketches and colour scheme ideas. Joel provided feedback and direction as the illustration progressed to reach a result he was happy with. Joel then used this illustration on one side of his business card design.

I went to Mair asking for a design I could use on my business cards. I wanted something a little different that would stand out and that made my hair a feature. Mair ran with the idea coming up with things to put in my hair to demonstrate the work I do. She then sent me some rough sketches of what she had in mind. She had understood perfectly and got working on the second draft, then a third and final draft, each time making sure I was happy before pushing forward. The end result was better then I expected and I’m extremely pleased with her work.
